The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana is one of the most popular government schemes for farmers in India. It was launched in February 2019 by the Government of India to help small and marginal farmers with financial support. Under this scheme, farmers get ₹6,000 every year, given in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
This money is directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The main aim of this scheme is to provide financial help to farmers for buying seeds, fertilizers, and other farming needs.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
PM Kisan Yojana is a central government scheme started to support the income of farmers. Every farmer family that owns cultivable land can apply for this scheme. The amount of ₹6,000 is given in three parts – April to July, August to November, and December to March.
So far, the government has released 20 installments successfully, and crores of farmers have benefited from it. Now, farmers are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment.
When Will the 21st Installment Come?
The 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana is expected to come between November and December 2025. However, the official date has not been announced yet by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Usually, the installment is released every four months. The last, i.e., 20th installment, was released in July 2025, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the money to farmers’ bank accounts through DBT.
If we follow the same pattern, the next (21st) installment may arrive in November or early December 2025.
Farmers should keep checking the official PM Kisan portal (https://pmkisan.gov.in/) for the latest updates.
